This week, we caught up with our Digital Exec, Hannah who joined us last Autumn as part of her Higher-Level Apprenticeship with Southern Regional College.
So, what is a HLA, how does it work, and what’s it like working with the Mitso team?

Meet Hannah...
Hi, I’m Hannah and I am Mitso’s sixth team member! I joined Mitso in September 2023, as a Digital Marketing Executive. Previously, I studied a Law with Criminology Degree however, this was no longer the career prospect I wished to follow, and I made the bold decision to pursue my dream of working in the marketing industry.
I had a very exciting first day kicking off with meeting the Mitso team at Slieve Gullion Forest Park, for an annual team photoshoot! From the get-go I felt valued, and I was welcomed with open arms into the team.
To date, I have been very fortunate to be given the opportunity and responsibility to carry out various digital tasks such as managing social media content, producing Performance Marketing Reports, and conducting mentor training for numerous clients across the UK, Ireland, and Bermuda.
Tell us about your HLA experience so far.
Alongside working for Mitso, I am currently studying a Higher-Level Apprenticeship with Southern Regional College, to gain a Degree in Digital Marketing, Advertising and Communications.
Studying a Higher-Level Apprenticeship is an incredible opportunity for me to gain my degree, while receiving on the job training and support from Mitso. Gaining essential experience and knowledge in Mitso has really enhanced my learning, as I am able to put into practice what I am learning and apply this to my job role.
I believe that it’s important for businesses to take on apprentices; it helps fill their skills gaps by adapting an apprentices’ training to meet the current needs of the business, and to increase diversification across the team.
Three things you’ve learned so far with Mitso?
1. Creativity & Copywriting
A big part of my role is planning social media content and creating social graphics for various clients, and I’ve enjoyed shadowing the team to learn the tricks of the trade!
2. Analytics
I am currently developing my understanding of performance marketing and analytics to deliver client reports on a monthly basis.
3. Teamwork
As they say, teamwork makes the dream work! Teamwork is crucial in marketing to improve efficiency and performance, as well as enhancing communication and mutual support among the team.
Favourite project so far?
My favourite project so far has been carrying out digital marketing work for Bermudian business, Bermuda Janitorial Supply - Bermuda’s leading cleaning solutions company, to increase brand awareness and social engagement, creating social content calendars, email marketing campaigns, updating website content and collating monthly reporting. It’s an all-rounder!
I am delighted to be part of the Mitso team, and I am really looking forward to continuing to develop my skills and working on exciting projects. I can’t wait to see what the year ahead has in store for both my own experience and for the growth of Mitso.
